Outreach, Community Building, and Discipleship

Torch is dedicated to loving those in our community, sharing the gospel, and helping people build their faith. See a few ways we do that below:

Community Outreach

Community is in our name, and we take that seriously. The Church wasn't designed to operate in a bubble. Rather, we're called to be a beacon of hope and love to those around us. Torch's community outreach ministry is always looking for opportunities to bring the love of Christ to those in Florence, Northern Kentucky, and the Greater Cincinnati Area. Are you outgoing? Great with event organization? Love sharing the gospel? Come get involved.

Youth Ministry

Kids are the heartbeat of our church, and we work to ensure that every kid that walks through our doors has the opportunity to learn about God's love for them, and his plan for their life. We offer children's classes during our regular Sunday service (nursery through middle school). In addition, our high school students gather together weekly for a fun night of worship, games, and scripture.

Missions

Torch is an official partner of Samaritan's Purse, meaning we are blessed to have a Samaritan's Purse mission truck onsite, 27/7. As part of this mission, Torch is committed to respond to natural disasters when we get the call. In addition, the church sponsors periodic international missions. Whether at home or abroad, we seek to empower the members of our church to spread hope to those in need — whether that be through building a new house or building a lifelong faith through God's word.

Celebrate Recovery

Dealing with addiction, trauma, or just bad habits your can't quite kick? You don't have to fight these battles alone. Torch hosts a Celebrate Recovery group that meets weekly, providing a safe place for people to come together and get the support they need to tackle their hang ups. No judgement. No prerequisites. Just a grace-filled community of people who have been there, and who are committed to being there for you.

Beyond

From the ground up, Torch has been designed to be welcoming to our friends with disabilities. The Beyond ministry embodies this spirit, designed specifically for the inclusion of adults with disabilities. Beyond meets once per month, providing a night of fun, fellowship, and discipleship for all that want to attend.

Men's Ministry

Despite what popular culture may tell us, men play a vital role in the spiritual wellbeing of their family. Realizing this, Torch is committed helping men grow in their faith, build lasting friendships with others that will support them in their walk, and establish a strong network of support to tackle life's challenges.

Women's Ministry

We all know how important women are for their families. And if you've looked around any given Sunday, you may notice that women tend to pull more than their fair share of weight (from getting their kids to church to running the nursery and most of our children's classes). We want to ensure we're supporting our women's spiritual growth as well, empowering them to come together, share in God's word, and build each other up.

Mascara Ministry

The Mascara Ministry is designed for one purpose — serve as a lifeline for women and children who find themselves trapped in abusive situations. There are numerous shelters that offer safe haven for women in danger. But many of these do not accommodate children. Rather than see these women remain in dangerous environments to protect their children, Torch is committed to providing support where none else can be found. This support can come in a variety of forms, from helping coordinate safe, temporary housing to providing financial aid and counseling.

You've probably heard it said that the church, as a body of believers, are the hands and feet of Christ. At Torch, we believe getting involved is one of the best ways to grow in your faith. Here are a few ways members of Torch do that each week:
